Sliding Scale
The economic concept of sliding scale at its most basic: people pay as they are able to for services, events and items. When you pay more (at the top of the scale) know that you are helping others to access services and medicine. When you pay full price (in the middle of the scale) know that you are helping me, cover costs as a small-scale service provider. When you pay at the reduced rate (at the bottom of the scale), know you are allowing the community to hold and support you. All of these are wonderful and acceptable ways of participating!
The Botánica is full priced as it is entirely community supported! Your purchase directly allows me to buy the containers to hold the formulas so more can be made, and to offer these herbal preparations to clients receiving community support.
I leave it up to you to decide what to pay on the scale. At the end of the day, the sliding scale thrives on trust. I trust you to be honest in your assessment of your economic reality.
The sliding scale is a tool of accountability and participation in community. As we heal we lift ourselves up, and if we can, we also lift others up…which is called our Pay It Forward option: if you purchase a consultation or product at $5 above the full price you are supporting financial accessibility for those folks who need to utilize the sliding scale at the Being Held option.

SACRIFICE vs HARDSHIP “If paying for a product, or service would be difficult, but not detrimental, it qualifies as a sacrifice. You might have to cut back on other spending in your life (such as going out to dinner, buying coffee, or a new outfit), but this will not have a long term harmful impact on your life. It is a sacred sacrifice in order to pursue something you are called to do. If, however, paying for a class, product, or service would lead to a harmful impact on your life, such as not being able to put food on the table, pay rent, or pay for your transportation to get to work, then you are dealing with hardship. Folks coming from a space of hardship typically qualify for the lower end of the sliding scale.” {insight from Alexis J. Cunningwort}
I know that for some the price point I have set at the bottom of the scale might be too high for you to seek care from me. If this is you, please send me an email to discuss options.
